- With the addition of Chapter 31 of The Greater Darkness, the full book is now available here at DOF for free. If you've enjoyed the first volume of Geoffry's tale, please consider contributing to DOF. The next time you're in your paypal account you could send a donation to dean.l.murray(a)(t)hotmail.com (replace the (a)(t) with an @), or in a month or so I'll have this same full version of the text up in a variety of e-book reader formats for the low fee of $2.50 on Smashwords.com. Every contribution is greatly appreciated and puts me that much closer to being able to do this full time.
- Please note that I'm currently in the process of finishing up Broken & Torn and consequently have less time to devote to maintaining and updating DOF. I'll continue to add new content-in all three sections of the site, but will be moving to a schedule where I update once every three weeks, so the next update will occur on or around May 10th. Remember, the more you spread the word about DOF and convince your friends to buy novels or donate to the cause, the more time I'll be able to dedicate to producing more fiction for everyone.

- I'm very sorry for the extended nature of the wait, but we finally have the complete version of The Trial up on Smashbooks.com. I went ahead and made the first 50% of the book available for free, so you can read more than just the first 6 chapters currently available on DOF.

- For everyone currently waiting anxiously for the remaining portion of The Trial, I'm afraid I have to report a bit of a setback. I've finished the editing process, but am not fully satisfied with ifiction, which is what I was planning on using to distribute the actual files. I'm investigating other alternatives, but for now am leaning towards smashbooks. If anyone has other recommendations please send me an e-mail, I'm anxious to arrive at a good solution.

- I've added Chapter 3 of The Greater Darkness. It's been incredibly fun to go back through TGD and see how the various plot elements come together. I hope you are all enjoying Geoffry's story as much as I enjoyed writing it.
- I've seen an increase in traffic coming off of GMAIL and Yahoo mail. I appreciate all of you that are trying to spread the word about DoF to your friends. With no real marketing budget, DoF will continue to rise or fall largely depending on that kind of positive word. Once again, thanks to you all.

- I found a few sections of the site that needed updating, so I went ahead and added Monday's content today. I hope everyone enjoys the early present as it were.
- I've added Chapter 2 of The Greater Darkness.
- I also want to send out thanks to Tim over at Be The Story He's done a bit of a brief review of Absence and linked back to DoF. If you haven't ever stopped by his site it's a worthwhile trip. Particularly, I've been astonished at the parallels between some of the things he's got up on his site and some of the pieces I've been putting together for Behind the Curtain. Specifically I like his assertion that the better we understand people and the way they think, the better writers we'll tend to be. Look for a new subsection to show up some point down the road incorporating some of my ideas in this area.

- I realized I hadn't done the formatting for Chapter 1 of the Greater Darkness. The file has been updated with the appropriate html tags, sorry to all of you that read through it before I made the correction.

- I've finished the rewrite of Chapter 15. It needs to sit for a bit and then I'll post it to I-fiction.
- In the meantime, I've posted Chapter 1 of The Greater Darkness. I'll continue to post the book one chapter each week until the whole story is up. I hope you all enjoy Geoffry's tale.

- Done with the last editing pass for The Trial...but...I've decided one of the later chapters needs a re-write. Honestly I'd expected to have the full book finished and posted on Ifiction by about now, but my day job is a little more hectic than normal right now. In the meantime I've finished posting The Glossary.

- I'm still not quite finished with editing the last 80% of The Trial. To help tide everyone over I've added the first part of the The Trial-Glossary. I designed the book to be readable without the glossary, but tried to weave some interesting tidbits from all of the background material floating around in my head.

- Updated the landing page to try and drive people further into the site. I'm still seeing greater bounce rates from organic searches than I'd like.

- Holding in at 35 on Google under 'Online Fiction'.
- Coming in at 36 on Google under 'Online Fiction Serial'.
- Currently at 33 on AOL under 'Online Fiction' and 'Online Fictin Serial' both.
- Showing up at 13 on AOL under 'Online Fiction Romance'.
- Nothing there that's going to drive hordes of the traffic to the site yet, but I am starting to see people come in on searches. More importantly, I'm starting to see new traffic that can only be word of mouth. Thanks again everyone that's telling their friends and family about DOF.
